THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT Releases Lyric Video For New Song 'My Future Prediction'

November 6, 2026

Acclaimed alternative band THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT has returned with a new song and music video, "My Future Prediction", out now via Better Noise Music. It notably marks the Atlanta collective's very first release of 2026 and meets a growing demand for more from their ardent and devout fanbase.

Regarding the song, THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT vocalist Lee Jennings said: "'My Future Prediction' is about convincing yourself that a relationship is perfect, even when every warning sign is telling you otherwise. It's about ignoring the red flags, romanticizing the cracks, and building an entire future in your head with someone you already know, deep down, isn't the one. Sometimes we fall in love with the life we imagined more than the person standing in front of us."

"My Future Prediction" taps into the distinct sonic alchemy that has consistently elevated the band and enshrined them as one of modern rock's most exciting forces. The soundscape spikes a hypnotic hybrid of alternative, emo, post-hardcore, and rock with theatrical panache. It's equally impactful and irresistible, culminating on a chantable chorus. Meanwhile, the visual evokes their ever-expanding vision with its arresting narrative and uncontainable energy.

The official "My Future Prediction" music video will make its online debut next week.

THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT kicked off 2026 by sharing its first-ever live album, "Live From Suffocate City". On "Live From Suffocate City", fans were invited to step inside the chaos and catharsis of THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT's first-ever "Suffocate City Town Hall Meeting", captured live from their sold-out hometown show at The Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia in 2025. The exclusive Blu-ray documented the band's legendary performance in front of a packed house of diehard fans. It was a thrilling night of raw emotion, high-energy theatrics, and fan-favorite anthems.

THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT's "Greetings From Suffocate City" album was originally released in September 2024. It consisted of 14 tracks of theatrical, dramatic, unapologetic, full-throated flair with guest appearances from Bert McCracken of THE USED, Spencer Charnas of ICE NINE KILLS, Danny Worsnop of ASKING ALEXANDRIA, and Amanda Lyberg of EVA UNDER FIRE.

The deluxe edition, "Greetings From Suffocate City - From Beyond The Abyss: Deluxe Edition", was released in June 2025 via Better Noise Music. It contained 24 songs, including tracks from the "Casanova" EP and the "From Beyond The Abyss" EP, as well as "Holy Water" featuring Ivan Moody of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, "Hearse For Two" featuring Lilith Czar and three brand new songs: "Skinny Lies", "Evergreen" and "Lost Boy". The vinyl and CD two-disc deluxe packages featured 21 tracks, one of which was exclusive to the physical formats ("Friends Like These").

The album campaign for "Greetings From Suffocate City" began in August 2022 with the release of "Voodoo Doll" when they were an opening band in 300-400 person venues (or smaller). Throughout 2025 they performed 176 shows and drew the biggest crowds at major festivals including Warped Tour and Louder Than Life, touring all year with bands like ICE NINE KILLS, THE USED, UNDEROATH, IN THIS MOMENT, and they performed their first-ever European tour with THE RASMUS.

THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT is touring through the end of 2026, hitting arenas with THREE DAYS GRACE in November, in addition to a handful of headline date with PINKNOISE. They will play "Unwrapped" shows in December. After the holidays, they will head to Europe for a massive run supporting BLACK VEIL BRIDES.
